HANOI-PERFUME -DUONGLAM-SAPA-HALONG

Day 1 Arrival

Pick up at Vietnam Noi Bai International Airport then transfer to the your hotel for check in. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2 Hanoi – Perfume pagoda – Hanoi (Lunch)

At 8:00 am your personal guide and private car will pick you up at the hotel to drive west of Hanoi. After a 2 hour drive out of the city and into the rural area you start the visit. Located on the limestone rocks of Huong Son Mountain in beautiful and mystical surroundings is a complex of Pagodas and Buddhist shrines built into the limestone cliffs.

The most important and sacred pagoda is situated inside a cave known as Dong Huong Tich ‘The cave of Fragrant Traces’.

To start you relax on board, the rowing boat and set off on a 1 hour journey to Thien Tru quay.

The peaceful scenery along the river is marvelous and impressive.

On arrival at the foot of the mountain in Thien Tru quay, you set off on a cable car ride to the main cave Pagoda. The main pagoda is set in a huge grotto containing a highly decorative shrine with many stalactites and stalagmites. After visiting the pagoda, you trek downhill to the mountain foot for lunch in a restaurant.

After lunch we go to Thien Tru pagoda (Heaven Kitchen) to walk around and learn more about Buddhism and taking photos before returning to Hanoi.

Day 3 Hanoi full day city tour (Lunch)
Pick up at 9:00 am to visit Hochiminh complex to visit outside of Hochiminh’s mausoleum, Presidential palace, his house on stilts and one pillar pagoda. Then continue to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda as known the oldest pagoda in the city, originally constructed in the sixth century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De, thus giving it an age of 1,400 years, then keep walking to Quan Thanh Temple, formerly known as Tran Vu Temple is a Taoist temple in Hanoi, as one of the Four Sacred Temples of the capital, Quan Thanh Temple is located near West Lake. Keep forward to the Temple of Literature, constructed in 1070, it is a temple of Confucius in Hanoi, northern Vietnam. And the temple hosts the “Imperial Academy”, Vietnam’s first national university.

Having Bun Cha barbecue pork with noodle for lunch at local restaurant. Visit the Ethnology Museum which focuses on the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam, it is widely considered to be the finest modern museum in Vietnam and a tourist attraction in Hanoi.

We will take you to Hoan Kiem Lake, then we walk around the Old Quarters of Hanoi to experience the bustling, real lifestyle of this exciting and vibrant neighborhood.

Day 4 Duong Lam ancient village – Overnight train to Sapa (Lunch)

Pick up at 9:00 am to Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta where still preserve many hundred-year-old houses.

Upon arrival, visit Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple, places dedicated to two national heroes Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung.Bike to visit Mia Pagoda (other hamlet in Duong Lam village), is built in 15th century and admire 287 statues of all sizes, along with are famous sculpture such as the statue of Buddha in the Himalayas and the statues of the Eight Viagra Deities. Continue riding around the village to discover the daily life and farming working of Vietnamese peasants along the terrace with a stop to visit ancient house back to 200 years ago.  Enjoy your special lunch with Vietnamese foods in an ancient house.

Walk along tiny ancient alleys to visit Mong Phu communal house in Mong Phu hamlet and walk on foot to see local people living in the ancient village. Drive back to Hanoi to attend traditional unique water puppet show.

Transfer to railway station to catch overnight train to Sapa.

Day 5 Sapa (Lunch)
The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 06:00 drive up to Sapa for an hour drive.  After having breakfast, we drive to Lao Chai village, a village of Black Hmong ethnic people. Here we will discover their daily life and how they make their traditional clothes, handicraft, indigo… We will visit the biggest valley which offers to you the best views of the golden rice terrace field in Vietnam.

After the Lao Chai village, we walk to Ta Van village, a village of Giay people.
It is a small group of ethnic people living in Vietnam, they still preserve a rich and traditional culture. We will enjoy the lunch with a local family in one of the beautiful traditional houses located on their rice paddy fields.

Overnight in Sapa.

Day 6 Sapa – Hanoi (Lunch)

This morning you will visit Cat Cat village ethnic Hmong – discovered by the French and choose resort here in the early twentieth century. Coming to Cat Cat Village, visitors will be visiting hydropower station, waterfall of the Cat Cat village and learned about the culture, customs and unique people here with traditional crafts such as weaving, touching carved silver, forged agricultural tools…

Free at leisure in the afternoon to explore Sapa town on your own foot then transfer to Lao Cai to visit Vietnam Chinese border gate before taking overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 7 Hanoi – Halong bay

Early morning arriving Hanoi and after breakfast, we leave Hanoi for a 3 hours to reach Halong Bay. We will drop you off at Tuan Chau International Marina for your own cruise check in at noon time.

Day 8 Halong bay – Hanoi

We will pick up you at noon time when you boat is coming back to the pier and drive back to Hanoi.  Check in hotel and relax. Free to explore Hanoi by night and enjoy food by yourselves.

Day 9 Departure

Free at leisure in the morning before transferring to the airport for your flight home. End of the tour.
